| Carbon band saw blades are made of high carbon steel. They are best
suited for cutting wood, composition board, and non-ferrous metals (i.e.
brass, copper, bronze), but can be used for light-duty use on ferrous
metals.
Simonds offers 4 types of carbon band saw blade - Hard Edge, Simet, Furnwood II, and Friction band.
Features & Benefits
Hard Edge ranges from 1/8" to 1-1/4" in width, with many variations available. Offered in coil form or welded to length - call for availability. Simet - this blade combines hardened teeth with a hardened back Features & Benefits

Features & Benefits
Furnwood II ranges from 1/4" to 1" in width, in 2, 3, and 4 T.P.I. Sabre tooth. Offered in coil form or welded to length - call for availability. Friction Band - designed for friction cutting stainless and other high alloy steels at speeds from 8,000 to 15,000 S.F.P.M. (surface feet per minute), the gullets carry the molten metal out of the cut. Features & Benefits
